Historical-artistic news: the curtain wall of the Oltrarno that we can still admire today are the only evidence of the ancient fortified layout of curtain wall walls of the city of Florence. They extend from the left bank of the Arno, with the Torrino di Santa Rosa system, Verzaia Walls and Porta a San Frediano. Beyond this Porta (Gate) you can find the first section affected by the nineteenth-century demolitions, including Via Pisana and via dell'Orto, from here the Walls go up to Piazza Tasso, where they stops again, they then departs along Viale Petrarca to Giardino di Boboli.
